Applications are now open for the Schwarzman Scholarship in China 2025/2026. This application is open to Chinese, U.S., and other young leaders worldwide. The scholarship is a fully funded one-year master’s degree program at the Tsinghua University in Beijing, China.

Each year, 200 scholars are chosen for this program, which is highly selective, to work towards getting a master’s degree at the Tsinghua University. The Schwarzman Scholarship was founded by the American Stephen A. Schwarzman. Scholars are selected based on their academic credentials and demonstrated leadership accomplishments.

Eligibility criteria for the Schwarzman Scholars Program

  • Eligible Countries: Open to citizens in all countries of the world
  • The applicant must have either a bachelor or any other professional degree regardless of the field of study
  • Zero application fee
  • Candidates must be from 18 to 28 years old
  • Candidates must show proof of English (IELTS/TOEFL) if they are not native English speakers, or their undergraduate degree is not from an institution where the primary language of instruction is English.
