The fully funded Sweden government scholarship for 2024 is now open. This is a good news for all those who want to study in Sweden for the 2024/25 academic year. As an international student, you can now start to explore degree programs and make sure you get your admission offer by the 15th, January 2024. From the 1st of November 2023, you will be able to apply for the Swedish Institute (SI) Global Professional scholarship 2024. The scholarship is managed by the Swedish Institute which is a government agency and it is a fully funded scholarship for international students. It comprises of over 800 masters programs. English proficiency exams such as IELTS, TOEFL, PTE are not compulsory requirements when applying for this scholarship. But you must bear in mind that you have to fulfil the basic requirements of the university. This including but not limited to, going in for a program that is going to last for atleast a year or two. The Swedish Institute of Global Scholarship 2024, as above, is a fully funded scholarship to study in Sweden for free for the academic year 2024/25. And this scholarship includes the following:

Eligibility Criteria For The Scholarship

As an international student, these are some of the requirements that must be met:

  • You must apply for an eligible Master’s Degree program
  • You must have completed at 3000 hours of previous work experience (full/part-time)
  • You must secure your admission from a Swedish university and get your admission letter by January 2024

Countries which are eligible for the SI Scholarship in Sweden 2024

Unfortunately, not all countries in the world are eligible to apply for the scholarship. If you are a citizen of the non-eligible countries, you can still go ahead and apply but priority will be given to citizens of the eligible countries. How To Apply For The Sweden Government Scholarship 2024

Below are the steps you need to follow when applying for the SI Global Professionals Scholarship 2024.

  • Step 1: You Can Apply For A Master’s Program Through The University Admissions

Here you are going to find the list of programs eligible for the SI Scholarship 2024/25 academic year. You are eligible to apply for up 4 different Master’s programs. To apply, visit http://UniversityAdmissions.se and search for Autumn 2024 courses, making sure that you apply by the 15th, January 2024. After your application has been completed, you are to receive a Personal Application Number (PAN) consisting of 8 digits. Any queries can be directed to the Admissions Department.

  • Step 2: Applying For The Global Professional Scholarship (SI)

The SI Scholarship portal is going to open on the 1st, November 2023 and will close on February, 28th 2024. While getting ready to apply for the Scholarship, these are the documents that you have to prepare:

  • A valid Passport with at least 12 months validity period
  • A CV which should not be longer than 3 pages
  • A Motivation Letter
  • Proof of work experience
  • Two reference letters

Important Dates for the Swedish Government Scholarship 2024/25

  • October 16th 2023 – January 15th 2024: Apply for the Swedish Master’s Programs through http://UniversityAdmissions.se
  • November 1st 2023: The SI Scholarship documents will be published
  • February 12th-28th, 2024: The application portal for the SI Scholarship is going to open
  • March 21st, 2024: University Admissions announcement day
  • April 25th, 2024: SI Scholarship announcement day.

Bear in mind that the SI Global Scholarship for the 2024/25 academic year is fully funded and covers tuition, health insurance, living expenses, and as well as travel costs.
